Part 1 (UK): Set up the insurance essentials

If your practice bills private medical insurers in the UK, this is where you start. By the end of this lesson your account will be ready to raise insurer invoices, send claims electronically through Healthcode, and charge each insurer its own contract rates.

• Turning on Insurance Billing under Setup → Business Details → Features, and the three things it unlocks.
• Adding each insurer as a Third Party.
• Registering with Healthcode — and why you must select Pabau as your practice management system.
• Entering your Site ID, Webservices ID and password, and checking the link.
• Working the setup checklist: mapping insurers, location payee codes, clinician GMC numbers or payee codes, and claim defaults.
• Adding CCSD and ISC billing codes to services.
• Building one price list per insurer contract.
