Add CCSD and ISC billing codes to a service
Insurers won’t pay a claim that doesn’t say what you actually did. Billing codes are how a claim says it — and every claimable service needs them before it can be invoiced to an insurer.
What you will learn
- The difference between the two codes: the CCSD procedure code (what was done) and the ISC — Industry Standard Code (how it is classified). Most insurers want both.
- Finding the Insurance Billing section on a service’s Pricing tab.
- Using Add A Billing Code and searching the built-in code book by code or description.
- Why the most common code should be added first.
- How the codes flow onto every claim’s service items — and how to adjust them for a one-off visit.
